Daragan Tarot — An Author's Tarot Deck By Sergei Daragan

Daragan Taro is an author's deck by Sergey Daragan, also known under the literary pseudonym Vladislav Etteilla. The work on the project lasted over nine years and was the result of research in the history of Tarot, European symbolism, and esoteric traditions. The deck is executed in the style of the European Renaissance and combines geomancy, Kabbalah, Hermeticism, planetary and zodiacal correspondences, magical seals, and elements of Christian symbolism. Each arcana contains several levels of interpretation and can be viewed as an artistic image, a philosophical symbol, and a cultural commentary. Daragan Taro continues the research tradition of Court de Gébelin, Éliphas Lévi, and Papus (Gérard Anaclet Vincent Encausse), who regarded Tarot as a language of culture and a means of preserving knowledge. The deck is of interest not only to tarologists but also to artists, writers, researchers of symbolism, and the history of ideas. It is a project dedicated to the search for connections between various traditions preserved in the language of symbols.
